Adirondack Casting Call for Netflix

A few weeks ago, we told you about a new Netflix/Sony thriller called The Woods that was casting Hudson Valley residents for paid background roles. Now there's a new opportunity, and this one is a bit more specific and local.

The casting call is being handled by Roman Candle Casting, a well-known New York-based casting company founded in 2009 that has worked on major film and television projects, including The MaterialistsMarty SupremeNonnasMonsters and Men, and the Oscar-nominated short Time Freak.

Twin Boys Needed in Bolton Landing

According to Roman Candle Casting, the production is currently seeking twin boys ages 9 to 12 with brown hair for a paid, non-speaking role. The scenes are scheduled to be filmed in Bolton Landing on June 23, 24, and 25.

The project is an adaptation of The God of the Woods, the bestselling novel set in the Adirondacks. While much of the filming is taking place in the Hudson Valley, producers continue to look for local talent to help bring the story to life.

The casting agency says no acting experience is required and that there are never any application fees.
