Rage Bait 518

A frightening road rage incident in Saratoga County has led to the arrest of a Charlton man following a chaotic chain of events Saturday night. It makes you wonder what people are thinking who are willing to endanger themselves or their passengers just to make a point.

According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash around 10:23 p.m. on Route 67. Investigators say a 2019 Subaru Impreza was traveling west when it legally passed a tow truck driven by 43-year-old Joshua J. Reome.

Things Escalated Quickly

Authorities allege the tow truck driver passed the Subaru again, and when both vehicles stopped at a traffic light at Routes 67 and 147, Reome exited his truck and approached the Subaru aggressively. The driver sped off in an attempt to get away, reportedly striking Reome in the process.

But it didn’t end there.

The tow truck allegedly caught up again and, in a dangerous move, backed forcefully into the Subaru, damaging the front.

And perhaps most disturbing—authorities say a child was inside the tow truck during all of this. Deputies say that decision alone put a minor directly in harm’s way during an already volatile situation.

Reome now faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child.
