I got some really fantastic letters from Slingerlands elementary kids. This is a follow-up to my songwriting visit to Mrs. Bacher's class.   What cracks me up the most is the different artistic interpretations of what my hairline looks like.  Check this out!!

Some seem to think I have a full head of hair (left).  The child on the right however seems to think I have a critical lack of growth in the middle.   Very creative use of an  eraser! LOL.  Love it!!!

These kids were still pretty kind to me, although the one on the left shows an extremely messy  "thing" on top. I knew I needed a haircut, but not THAT badly!!    I love all of the music notes floating in the air on all of these drawings, by the way, and am equally happy to show that I still have growth up there.

Now these folks REALLY seemed to capture the true essence of my scalp condition, although they seemed to use a little bit of creative license, if you will . I seem to be totally bald on the left, missing some in the middle picture (although hair totally encompassing my ears), and the one on the right?  That seems to be the most accurate, although I have definitely packed on a few pounds!

I LOVE this rendering  on the left.  I'm bald, yes, but the artist seemed to picture me using my keyboard as wings!)  Very neat.  We have rainbows on the right and a totally hairless musician on the right with 'GNA, 'GNA, 'GNA proudly displayed on the instrument.  (That makes up for the lack of hair any day!)

I'm just kidding, guys.  All of the pictures were VERY creative and heartfelt, and it made my day to come into the station and see these.  Thank you SOOO much.

(Maybe I should be thinking about hair plugs…  or maybe not after reading Bethany's article)
