Dear Facebook Friends and WGNA listeners, I've gone back and forth on how to structure this post. Do I attempt to make it funny? Should I "rhyme it?" Naaaaa... Let's just cut to the chase. I have made a life-changing decision that I want to share with you...

Bethany-you know have ticked me off big time.  I've been holding back on the air.  Biting my tongue, if you will. You read a statistic this morning that made my hair stand up (both of them)

My 4th appearance at this great little school, and it never disappoints - it's the All Saints Catholic Academy in Albany.  Mrs. Reilly and Mrs. Grimmick kindly allowed me to come in and create a song with these very creative 5th graders.  (And actually, I didn't do much - they handled it very well on their own, thank you very much...

So I was preparing to do a blog on celebrities who wear hairpieces, and accidentally stumbled upon this bit - the late, great George Carlin's parody of the typical '60s radio DJ. This is perfect for National DJ Day, which just so happens to be today.

I'm not sure how old this video clip is, but it cracked me up (and confirmed my suspicions). Pat is as bald as a cue ball (or is he?)

Remember poor Ted Williams, the homeless man from Ohio whose beautiful speaking voice captured the world's attention online? This has a very happy ending!

Our visit to St. Jude was one of the most emotional yet, and I for one have been there twice before. We will have much, much more to say about that during our upcoming radiothon.  But sometimes you have a little comic relief, and that happened when I was at the right place at the right time and  bumped into Big Kenny from Big and Rich.

The great thing about doing the Capital Region Sunday show is that you get to cover a wide range of occupations and subject areas.  In some cases the information can be life saving. I've been on vacation for so long, I almost forgot how to do this.  But Im looking forward to getting aback to the routine- including getting back my school program.  I get very antsy and fidgety after awhile if I'm just sitting around.  Maybe I should purchase this brilliant new invention intended for kids, though I'm hoping they will consider an adult version - desk with ...

What will they think of next? Well, I'll tell you.  Someone had a lightbulb go off in their head and maybe that was the incentive to come out with THIS
