Troy To Host Collar City Run & Country Bash

Summer may be winding down over the next few weeks, but it's more great news if you love live Country music - the great shows keep coming as we head into autumn.

And now, the city of Troy is getting ready to host a new event that combines live music, fitness, food, and community!

Troy To Host Inaugural Collar City Run & Country Bash

The city of Troy announced in a press release on Wednesday the inaugural 'Collar City Run & Country Bash' on Saturday, October 17th. The new fitness & block party will feature a 4k road race, a full lineup of national and local country acts, food, dancing, and more. The road race will take place at 11 am followed by a block party from Noon to 6 on Hill Street behind Defazio's at 261 Fourth Street.

The event will feature two of Nashville's most promising rising stars, Kelsey Hart & Hannah McFarland.

Kelsey's debut single 'Life With You' recently cracked the top 25 on the charts and has also had a successful songwriting career penning tunes for the likes of Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, and Dylan Scott. He most recently performed in the region opening for Parmalee at Catskill Point this past May.

McFarland is no stranger to the Capital Region either, having opened for Riley Green at SPAC earlier this summer. She also sings a duet with Riley caller "Go Gain," and recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut.

This will be a great event for so many reasons. Troy simply offers a stellar setting for the road race and block party. It is a perfect time of year to get out and about in the downtown area to not only celebrate the season but also to support the great local businesses throughout the city. Plus, proceeds from this event will also benefit charity organizations serving the Troy community.

Registration for the 4k road race is $30, and includes admission to the block party. You can also purchase tickets for just the block party for $30/general admission and $80/VIP. Race registrations and tickets are both on sale now through the event website.
