How?

A Revolutionary Find
In February of 2019, a construction project on Courtland Street in Lake George unearthed something incredible: A mass grave carrying the remains of American soldiers and personnel who fought in the Revolutionary War. The remains were likely found there because, in 1776, a massive Continental Army Hospital was stationed on the southern edge of the lake.
The remains were transferred the the New York State Museum, so they could be analyzed and studied. The goal for the past 7 years was to uncover the history behind their fate, and give them the burial that they were denied 250 years ago.
Finally, that project will be completed...
Moving Up North
The remains of 44 Continental Army Soldiers are being transferred back up to Lake George for a proper memorial service. They left Albany at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20th, and will travel 60 miles north to lake George Battlefield.

The motorcade isn't direct, they will make stops at Saratoga Springs City Hall and Bacon Street in Glens Falls for observances. Once they reach the battlefield, the caskets will be interred at a nearby church.
The memorial for the fallen soldiers will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22nd. They will arrive in formal ceremony by horse-drawn wagon with federal, state and local officials in attendance.
After nearly 250 years, these brave men and women will finally find the peaceful resting place that they deserve.
