Your Local Mall Is A Germ Infested Paradise
You probably don't think about it. Howie Mandell would though. (He's a well known germiphobic). I'm not, but maybe you are, so I thought I'd let you know where they're located in your local mall(not the germiphobes-the germs)
According to CNN.com, when you're shopping this holiday season, there a re places NOT to put your hands. There are the obvious spots: restroom sinks, food court tables and the like. But how about the escalator handrails?
In our testing, we have found food, E. coli, urine, mucus, feces, and blood on escalator handrails,"
Now-how about the makeup counter? (Not a place I personally frequent, but you might)
A 2005 study found that between 67% and 100% of makeup-counter testers were contaminated with bacteria, including staph, strep, and E. coli.
There are many more places according to the article! So bring plenty of hand sanitizer! Isn't that gross? Guess I'm using Amazon.com from now on (on my own computer- I'm not touching anyone else's keyboard ! )
