Albany’s First Costco Finally Gets An Opening Date

Costco Opening Date

The Capital Region Costco is finally about to be a reality. The store will be located in Guilderland, right near the massively popular Crossgates Mall. It will be 163,000-square feet, feature 18 member-only gas pumps, and house 150 employees.

On Wednesday, June 3rd, Crossgates announced that the store would officially be opening on August 6th, 2026. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Memberships Available

This announcement of the opening date comes alongside another announcement from the store. On the 3rd, Crossgates Mall announced that a Kiosk would be set up in the mall, right near the Macy's. Costco staff will be on site, giving interested patrons information on memberships and perks, as well as helping get new members signed up on the spot.

The kiosk will also offer information on jobs. The location is still hiring, and interested applicants can speak to team members about the position. You can also apply online at the Costco website HERE.
