I went to the Great Escape over the weekend for the first time in a long time. I still love the nostalgia of the "ghost town" part and some of the other subtle things that remain. But I was shocked to find out that one of my favorite high flying shows was replaced.

The park that gave us the greatest commercial to grace our Capital Region televisions has officially announced its closure.

Dr Seuss is a huge part of all of our childhoods, but just because he passed away in 1991 doesn't mean we're done getting new books from him.

Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas is returning to theaters and the mere thought of this immediately puts me in the holiday spirit. Why?  Because it's the greatest Christmas movie of all time, plain and simple.

One of my favorite amusement parks to visit as a kid was Frontier town. It was run down for quite some time and the state has been working hard to utilize the land to create a Gateway To The Adirondacks. The first phase is now open.

We all have smells that take us back to our childhood. Well now, a company that manufactures a popular childhood item has decided to patent that distinct smell.

When I think of my childhood, I think of taking walks to Central Park and playing on the playground. I think of chasing the ducks past Iroquois Lake, running up and down the hill. Imagine my surprise when I went to the playground and there was nothing there.

I love this time of year, the weather is turning warmer, and even though I can't enjoy this place anymore as an adult, it's one of my favorites to visit.

There is some talk that one of my favorite sitcoms may be coming back. John Goodman was on the View with Sara Gilbert and they both discussed that Roseanne will return.

I have such great memories from my childhood and I love thinking back to the great things I experienced when I was little. It's easier for Brett Young to be comforted by his childhood, though, since he always has a piece of it childhood around.

Growing up in the Capital Region in the '80s and '90s was awesome! I had some favorite places that I used to always love to go back to. Maybe some of yours are on my list?!
