Is there a more worthy cause than supporting the men and women in law enforcement who spend every day protecting us?

They give so much to our communities, sometimes making the ultimate sacrifice, and this is our chance to give back with the 20th Blue Friday fundraiser.

Join 107-7 GNA as we help Blue Friday of New York raise money to recognize the sacrifices of men and women in blue and to support the families of our fallen officers.

This year's fundraiser will start with the Blue Friday kick-off party on Monday, April 8th from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at the Mill on Route 9 in Malta. Come down for a bite and a drink – a portion of all proceeds from the night will benefit Blue Friday of New York. There will be specials, 50/50 raffle, and we will have your chance to win Sectet Star tickets at the event.

Blue Friday will culminate its annual fundraiser the morning of Friday, April 26th from 5:45 to 10 am at BJ's Brewhouse on Wolf Road in Colonie, the 99 Restaurant at the Wilton Mall or Lacy Ford, 25 Maple Avenue, Catskill. Visit any of these locations to donate and help out this important cause by purchasing a t-shirt, challenge coin, and more.

See The 10 States With The Highest Tax Burden

We can count on two things in life. Death and taxes.

In the state of New York, we can count on those taxes being high. But how high is our tax burden in the Empire State versus other states?

Wallethub recently ranked each of the 50 states based on overall tax burden which they define as "...the proportion of total personal income that residents pay toward state and local taxes." These rankings base that ax burden number on property, income, and sales taxes.

Here are the top 10 states from those rankings, And, yes, no surprise - New York made the list. But are we that bad off? See where New York ranks!
