Shen’s Kevin Huerter Dominated Game 7 and Twitter Went Nuts
In the sports world, there are few things more exciting than a Game 7. It's what kids dream of when shooting hoops in the backyard with friends; it's do or die, win or go home and in this case, where legends are born.
Last night during game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals, 2016 Shen grad Kevin Huerter came through with the best game of his life, putting on an absolute clinic of epic proportions. He exploded for 27 points and 7 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 103-96.
Huerter is a young star who's been playing meaningful minutes for an up-and-coming Hawks team since his rookie season back in 2018. Naturally, he's well-known in the Capital Region, but last night was his official coming-out party and the Twitter-verse fell in love with the red haired, baby-faced phenom from the 518.
Check out some of the clever and hilarious tweets as "Red Velvet" went off last night in a career defining game 7!
