Garfield Street in Fort Plain
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, this potbelly pig was seen roaming near Garfield Street in the Village of Fort Plain over the weekend, and they posted about it on their social media. With sweltering heat expected over the next few days, they hope to get this hog home safely before it starts bacon out in the hot sun.
The Sheriff's Office wants you to reach out if you are the owner by calling their dispatch center at 518-853-5500.
Oh, The Irony
The Sheriff's office even made light of the situation with a bit of dry humor, adding, "Yes...we're aware of the irony," referring to the not-so-subtle slang that sometimes people use to address police officers. Their joke, not ours!
