Sprawling Wildlife Attraction In New York Adirondacks Is For Sale
A Nature Lover's Dream
A popular wildlife refuge and attraction in the Upstate New York Adirondacks has been closed since the new year and recently went on the market.
If you have a cool $800K burning a hole in your pocket, the owners of this "nature lover's dream" want to sell.
Adirondack Wildlife Refuge
According to the Adirondack Explorer, the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, a former visitor attraction and rehabilitation facility in Wilmington, closed for business at the start of the new year and is now on the market.
The Explorer reports that its current owner, Stephen Hall, lost his wife to cancer in early 2022, and at 77, he is ready to retire. He still lives on the property located about 2 hours north of Albany.
Hall was hoping that one of his kids might take over the business, but that didn't happen, and Hall said "he would continue living in their home adjacent to the refuge compound."
Here are more details about this unique property, including amenities and features from listing agent Merrill L Thomas.
