Glens Falls Boy Gets Emotional Shoutout From Jelly Roll During SPAC Concert
I Wasn't Ready for this Jelly
I've met a lot of artists over the years, but what I witnessed with Jelly Roll last night reminded me why so many people love this guy.
Thirteen-year-old Mason from Glens Falls has already fought a battle no child should ever have to face. Thankfully, he's on the other side of cancer, and the last time Jelly Roll came to Albany, a friendship was born.

Last night, Mason and his sister Mackenzie spent time backstage with Jelly Roll before the show at SPAC, and I was fortunate enough to be in the room when they all reconnected, which was incredible to watch.
Despite everything happening around him, Jelly Roll made those two kids feel like they were the only people in the room.

Mason had previously given Jelly Roll bracelets that read, "Nobody Fights Alone," and the singer hasn't forgotten them. During the show, Jelly Roll pointed Mason out to the crowd, proudly saying, "That's my dude right here."
Then came an unforgettable moment.
I Am Not Okay
Before performing "I Am Not Okay" last night at SPAC, Jelly Roll dedicated the song to Mason and even turned the arena cameras toward him so thousands of fans could celebrate his journey.

It was one of those moments that had nothing to do with fame or music and everything to do with kindness, compassion, and reminding a young man from Glens Falls that he's never fighting alone.
The world is a better place with Jelly Roll in it, and this was a beautiful moment that I was fortunate to witness and will never forget.
