After a Setback Cohoes Getting An Award-Winning BBQ Joint
When you talk about an excellent barbeque in the Capital Region, many places come to mind. This particular barbeque is award-winning and will finally have a brick-and-mortar place to call home soon in Cohoes. They are known for their barbeque trailer that does fundraisers and pop-up dinners in our area. A couple of weeks ago they had a minor setback but they just announced some exciting news about an actual restaurant!
Miller's Backyard BBQ Almost Lost Their Trailer
According to the owner, John Miller, there was a significant fire that sparked inside their trailer on September 22nd. Fortunately, the local fire department put out the flames and no one was hurt. John explained what happened on his Facebook page.
I put food on last night for today, went home to shower, and got a call my trailer was on fire, turned out to be a gas leak, things may look bad at the moment but I already have friends coming to the rescue, we’ll get through this, we have big dreams and high expectations and great things will come!!!
Miller's Backyard BBQ Will Open a Restaurant Soon!
John Miller announced yesterday (October 2nd) on the Miller's Backyard BBQ Facebook page that they will be moving into the old Pig Pit BBQ in Cohoes.
John Miller says that he hopes to bring "award-winning bbq to Cohoes sometime in November!!! The Rhode Hog chicken sandwich and smoke fried wings will be coming back along with some new menu items!!!"
