It was just discovered that late last night, one person has tested positive for COVID-19. According to News10, University at Albany notified their students via email of the circumstance and has suspended all classes for today (Thursday).
The University President Havidán Rodríguez said that the Albany Department of Health reached out to him to notify him of the positive test. The person apparently is a part of the school community but lives off-campus. The person will remain isolated from campus until they are "cleared by public health officials."
There isn't much more on the situation and News 10 said they would continue to update their site if there is any more information about coronavirus in regards to this situation.
