If you went to the area's biggest farmers market in Troy over the weekend, you may have noticed a difference in how you brought your items back home. The Troy Farmers Market changed their bagging policy to a greener, eco-friendly approach.  Most people seem to be OK with the changes, but it will take a little getting used to.

Some local residents at an apartment complex in Niskayuna have already had their dog swabbed for DNA purposes, others downright refuse, and some dog owners feel like they're part of some sort of prank. As many as three local apartment complexes in the area are attempting (or have already started) to enforce a policy that would hold owners accountable for not scooping up after their dogs poop. Fine

Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse has been no stranger to our local newspapers since being elected back in 2015. While he's denied the allegations lobbied against during his term as a public official, things reached a boiling point this morning.  It's being reported that the Cohoes mayor was arrested this morning by the FBI.

TV news anchor Elisa Streeter has spent 30 years on the air and in our homes at News 10 ABC.  When she announced recently that she's set to retire at the end of the year, I was happy for her, but sad for us.  Streeter is a personal favorite of mine, and surely will be missed.

I saw this on an Albany thread of Reddit.com and was incredibly intrigued and quite frankly, couldn't stop watching.  It's 13 and 1/2 minutes of everything we loved about television from the 1980's.  Local news, big hair, clunky sets, cheesy commercials and Liz Bishop.  Pure VHS heaven!  Enjoy

A fire this morning at a local landmark appears to be under control.

The average person doesn't expect danger in their own home. But for 19 year old David Feliciano, that danger took his life.

Jason Burnash, 36 shouldn't be hard to recognize if you see him. I mean, how many guys do you spot around town with a giant tattoo on their face and neck. It is however important that if you do see him to call authorities immediately.

She wouldn't be the first from the entertainment world to take a governmental office. I mean, lets take a look at the White House. Or maybe not since Trump has taken more vacation days in his first 7 months than Obama did in his 8 years. Not the best of examples.

As a Waterford resident, I have to say this whole bridge construction has been a pain. Now listen, before you go and get upset with me and say, "it needed to be done" or "don't you care about safety?" Of course I care and of course I know it needed to be done, but still, as an every day commuter, it was starting to become more and more of a problem.

If you've been to the Saratoga Race Course so far this track season there is a chance you've seen two women standing out among the crowd. If you haven't seen them with your own eyes, you've probably heard of them and wondered, "what's that all about?"
