Body Found in Waters of Lock 13 in Montgomery County

Picture it: A beautiful summer day, the sun is shining, you're hanging with a friend at a local fishing spot just relaxing and enjoying the day. That's when tragedy strikes.

Your friend falls into the water, but it's nothing to laugh at, he can't swim.

It happened to 25 year old Joshua McSpirit, according to investigators, except he was the one who fell into lock 13 in Montgomery County.

This story unfortunately doesn't have a fairy tale ending and after a 3-hour search, McSpirits body was found and removed from the water.

Sheriff Michael Amato of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office told WRGB that first responders are called to the lock at least once a year due to the popularity of the area for fishing.
