Time to head back in time once again for another great blast from the past with this week's edition of Flashback Friday. On this date back in 2001, Reba Mcentire's WB sitcom "Reba" debuted also on this date back in 1994 Vince Gill won 3 CMA awards including Entertainer of the Year. With that I thought I would feature them both together for their big #1 hit from 1993 "The Heart Won't Lie".

From Reba's 1993 album "It's Your Call", "The Heart Won't Lie" was released in February of that year. A couple months later it would peak at #1 and stay there for 2 weeks giving Reba her 17th #1 single and Vince his 3rd.

Originally, it was supposed to be Kenny Rogers in Vince Gill's spot but scheduling conflicts made him unavailable. Vince would be brought in and the rest is country music history. Still I would love to hear what Kenny and Reba singing this together would sound like!
