Another week is in the books and that means it's time to break out another great country  song and video from the past with this week's edition of Flashback Friday. This week we go back about 20 years for Tracy Byrd's first big hit "Holdin' Heaven".

This was the third single from Tracy's self titled 1992 debut album. The first two "That's The Thing About A Memory" and "Someone To Give My Love To".wouldn't break the Top 40. The third time was the charm as "Holdin' Heaven" would be released in April of 1993 and go straight to the top of the charts later that same year.

Tracy would go on to have a number of Top 10 hits through the 90's and early 2000's including a second #1 "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo". In 2006 he started his own Blind Mule record label and these days he is spending time away from the entertainment business to make time for his family.  He still does a lot of charity work in his home state of Texas and is the National Spokesperson for the Special Olympics for the Country Music Association. He even has his own business in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas called Kitchen Koncepts. So even without the music business, he seems to be doing alright for himself.
