Michael Peterson’s Drink, Swear, Steal and Lie — Flashback Friday [VIDEO]
A Happy Thanksgiving weekend to everybody! It's time to go back in time once again to remember a great country song and video from the past with this week's edition of Flashback Friday. This week we go back to 1997 for a top 5 hit from Michael Peterson, "Drink, Swear, Steal And Lie".
After spending time playing college football at Pacific Lutheran University, Peterson moved to Nashville and became a songwriter thanks to the suggestion of a teammate who was also a record producer. The songwriting gig would eventually lead to a recording contract.
Released in May of 1997, "Drink, Swear, Steal And Lie" was the first single from Michael's debut self titled album. It would peak at #3 on the Billboard. He would follow this up with the #1 hit "From Here To Eternity" and the top 10 "Too Good To Be True". Michael would released numerous albums following his debut but would never hit the top 10 on the charts again.
Currently, Michael is still singing and touring the country. He performs many shows for our country's veterans and has done many shows overseas for the troops. Check out his website for the latest on what he is doing these days.
