Inexplicable Arrest in Montgomery County

Not trying to pass judgment here, but if there’s ever a time to make absolutely sure you’re sober before getting behind the wheel, this would probably be it.

A Montgomery County man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he drove drunk to the sheriff’s office while trying to pick up a friend who had just been arrested for DWI.

Hagaman Man Drove to MCSO Drunk

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Antone M. Glionna of Hagaman inexplicably drove to the sheriff’s office on May 16th with the intention of picking up an acquaintance who was being released following a DWI arrest.

Deputies say things quickly took a turn when Glionna allegedly failed to park in the public parking area and instead drove into a restricted area at the facility.

Authorities say a DMV records check showed Glionna’s New York State driver’s license had previously been revoked due to an earlier DWI-related conviction and a chemical test refusal.

Glionna was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, driving with a BAC of .08% or higher, DWI first offense, and unlicensed operation.

He was processed, issued an appearance ticket returnable to Glen Town Court, and released to a third party, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
