If you have a home or office router, the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) is urging you to reboot it to protect your information. They say that hackers may be able to steal your important data. According to News 10 ABC, the FBI put out a public service announcement stating that there could be hundreds of thousands of routers and devices networked that use a VPNfilter malware that could have been hacked. This specific malware collects information, block network traffic, exploit devices and disable routers.

The fix is quite easy. The FBI says that you should reboot your routers if you own a small office or home office and this should disrupt the malware. If you use a remote management setting, you should disable it and reset your passwords. Also, they recommend that you update your devices with the latest versions of firmware. This will prevent future attacks.
