Ballston Spa Man Accused of Robbing McDonalds, Stealing Charity Money
Ba-da-ba-bah-bahhhhhh...He's probably not lovin' it!
Saratoga County Sheriffs say they nabbed the Hamburgler who stole food and damaged property after he broke into the Ballston Spa McDonald's on Church Street after hours on Monday morning.
It is also believed that he busted open and stole money from the donation box that goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, a place that houses sick children and their families while they'rere undergoing treatments.
According to a report from News Channel 13 and a press release from the Saratoga County Sheriffs Office, 31-year-old Bryan Brust from Ballston Spa was arrested at 4 am on Monday morning after they say he broke into McDonald's after hours.
The Saratoga County Sheriffs Office allege that during the theft, he "willfully" damaged property that belonged to the McDonald's Corporation.
On the Sheriff's Facebook page, someone suggested that he also took money from the Ronald McDonald House charity box that sits near the drive-thru window. That has yet to be confirmed, although I doubt anyone would put it past Mr. Brust at this point.
In the official press release, it was noted that during the search, "proceeds" from the burglary and other evidence were recovered in the search.
