Watch: Large Bull Moose Casually Strolls Past Camera in Old Forge
Rare ADK Moose Caught on Trailcam
Another moose has been caught on camera in the Adirondacks, and this one is pretty spectacular.
For a few seconds, you get an incredible up-close look at his body and antlers before he casually strolls past the camera and disappears back into the Adirondack night. Check out the video below.
Adirondack Drone shared the video, saying the beautiful bull was spotted near Moose River in Old Forge, thanks to footage from Rivett's Old Forge Marina & Boat Rentals. According to the trail camera timestamp, the encounter happened shortly after 8 p.m. on September 19th.

Surprisingly Graceful
And for an animal this massive, he's surprisingly graceful.
The 37-second clip starts with little more than darkness before the bull suddenly emerges from the woods. He cautiously makes his way toward the camera, almost tiptoeing—if an animal that can weigh hundreds and hundreds of pounds can actually tiptoe.

Moose are the largest members of the deer family, and bull moose grow a new set of antlers each year. According to the New York State DEC, the antlers on large bulls can eventually span four to five feet.
Unicorns of the ADKS
Wildlife experts consider moose the Adirondacks' unicorns. They are "awe-inspiring and highly sought after, but rarely seen."
The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation estimates that approximately 400-700 moose live in the Adirondacks. So, sightings are rare but not impossible if you know where to look.
Seeing one on video is awesome, but imagine being lucky enough to see this guy in person?
