Now Hiring At New Costco in Guilderland

If you have been thinking about a new job, this might be worth a look. The new Costco on Western Avenue is now hiring, and the pay is what has people talking.

Costco has started hiring for its Guilderland location and is accepting applications for about 40 positions.

What Positions Are Available?

They are looking to fill a wide range of roles, including cashiers, stockers, pharmacy staff, bakers, forklift drivers, opticians, meat cutters, and gas station attendants.

It is a mix of entry-level and skilled positions, so there are options for a wide range of experience levels.

Now here is the part that stands out. Most of these jobs pay between $20 and $32.90 an hour. That is higher than many retail jobs in the Capital Region right now.

On top of that, Costco says it offers health care and benefits to both full-time and part-time employees, which is not always the retail case.

When Is Costco Opening?

As for when you can actually shop there, the company says it is aiming to open in August, but a specific date has not been announced yet.

This will be the first Costco in the Albany area, and it is being built near one of the entrances to Crossgates. The store will be a large footprint with gas pumps and plenty of parking.

That part of Western Avenue has been growing quickly, and this new store is expected to bring even more energy and opportunity to the area.
