A Virus That Holds Your Computer Files For Ransom? [VIDEO]

I'm not kidding here.  This is serious stuff.  Please pay attention!

There is actually a virus going on, and it's called Ransomware! According to the NBC Nightly News that I was watching last nite, this virus has hit 1,000,000 people already, and I'm sure there's more to come.  It takes over all of your files and you have to pay these creeps to get them back!  It happened to a police department, of all places, where all criminal's records were kept.  They had to pay!

f you get a weird email from some unknown person with an attachment, don't click on it.  I've been getting financial ones lately that look weird.

One thing you can do is make sure that your email is set so that you not only see the subject, but the first 2 lines of the message.  You can make the adjustment in Gmail.  Here's how to do it from About.com
