Winter Weather, Snow Return To Parts Of Upstate NY This Weekend
Some milder weather has everyone thinking 'spring,' already, but March has other plans.
As far as winters go, this one has been anything but a doozy in the Capital Region and Upstate NY. It has been mild, snowfall below average, and well - let's just say it has not been a tough season to deal with. That said, this is Upstate New York and it is March - so it is to be expected to get a little more winter weather coming our way.
Winter Weather Returns To Upstate New York This Weekend
This first day of Spring is March 19th, and Old Man Winter will reappear this weekend. According to the Weather Channel, after an end-of-work-week break from rain, a weekend storm is heading towards the Northeast this weekend. It will bring mostly rain to Upstate NY on Saturday. Rain will continue in the Albany area on Sunday, but the Weather Channel is predicting a few inches of snow in areas around the Capital Region and across the state with the possibility of 5-plus inches at higher elevations in the Adirondacks.
Yes, one last blast of winter, but this seems to be pretty much in line with all the storms we have had this winter: underwhelming.
