Our crazy week of weather continues Friday in the Capital Region.

It has been a barrage of winter all week in the greater Albany area. Over the last few days, it has been gusty winds and snow squalls and now another spat of winter weather and mixed precipitation is coming our way.

National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 9 am to 3 pm Friday (January 31) for parts of the Capital Region, Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, northern Taconics, and the northern Berkshires.

These areas will see mixed precipitation with accumulating snow and a light glaze of ice. NWS is predicting the following accumulations across the Capital Region:

The NWS said slippery conditions could impact the morning commute on Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend forecast, News Channel 13 says we can expect a mix of sun and clouds on Saturday with highs in the 20s and on Sunday we will see clouds with highs around 30 degrees.
