Many In the Capital Region See First 70 Degree Day of 2025
Before we get to the snow insanity, we did have our first stunning spring-like day of the season today. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Albany hit 70 degrees and several surrounding towns had highs in the mid-60s. We hope you enjoyed it because things will quickly turn in the next 24 hours.
According to the News Channel 13 First Warning Forecast, Wednesday will start out sunny giving way to increasing clouds with highs in the 40s. Temps will reach freezing at night and a small storm system will move in bringing light snow accumulation before sunrise north of the I90 corridor.
According to the National Weather Service, snowfall totals will range from less than an inch to 2" in the region.
The good news is this mini-return of winter will be short-lived. News Channel 13 says high temperatures will be near 60 on Friday with sun, Sunny and low 60s Saturday, and low 60s on Sunday with a chance of showers.
