
More Snow: Winter Weather Advisory For Parts Of Upstate NY This Weekend
Spring is less than 3 weeks away, but winter is not ready to give in yet in Upstate New York.
The mild weather has been a welcome change this week in the Capital Region to melt all the snow that has piled up. But we knew it would be short-lived: weather in Upstate New York this time of year is a roller coaster ride. And it gets rolling this weekend!
Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts of Upstate New York
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 pm today (Friday, February 28th) through 4 pm Saturday (March 1st) for Hamilton and Northern Herkimer Counties. In these areas, 3 to 6 inches of fresh snow and 35 mph wind gusts are expected.
The northern ede of the Capital Region could see an inch or two of snow, while areas south will see an inch or less. The current snowfall estimated by the National Weather Service are below.
Looking past the weekend, the News Channel 13 First Warning forecast says temperatures will once again warm up back to 50 degrees on Wednesday.
