The Williams Toyota Wineglass 5K

Recently, USAToday asked their voters what the best 5Ks in the country are. There were some stellar picks (including one that takes place 5 minutes from where I grew up), but Upstate New York's submission may take the cake.

Ranking as the 7th best 5K in the nation is the Williams Toyota Wineglass 5K in Corning, NY. This year, it's taking place on October 3rd, 2026 at 8am. You can register to race HERE.

It's Not Just a 5K...

Sure, the Wineglass 5K is a 5K at the end of the day. It's open to all, family friendly, and you'll get a runners bag, long sleeved shirt, and a medal for finishing, but this isn't the main event...

The Wineglass 5K is considered a warm-up for the main event that weekend: the Guthrie Wineglass Marathon. This isn't just the second largest marathon in New York, it's also a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

That's the great thing about the 5K, though. You'll be running next to serious runners and kids having fun alike. Add in some great wine tastings, and 50% off admission to the Corning Museum of Glass, you have one of the best weekend runs in the country.
