Valley Cats Want to Renovate Your Little League Field
It is the offseason for little league teams across the Capital Region, but it is time to nominate your little league field to get a makeover in time for next season. According to the Tri-City Valley Cats website, one of the most important things they do for our communities in the Capital Region is to help local youth teams with the maintenance of their fields throughout the spring and summer seasons. Their mission is to provide safe fields for kids to play, learn, grow, and have fun.
The Tri-City Valley Cats are now accepting applications for their four in twenty-four youth field renovation project. They select four youth ball fields in April and renovate them over a twenty-four hour period. The makeover of these fields includes placing new sod on the infield, rebuilding the pitcher's mound and the home plate area, raking and leveling the infield dirt and making sure the baselines are the exact specifications.
