There Is Actually A Hospital In Africa That Charges Every Time A Woman Screams While In Labor

Not to worry, folks.  It's not in the United States.  But I'm not making this up. It's a hospital  in Zimbabwe, and they have a very creative way to make extra money.

According to a recent report from transparency.org, corruption is growing all over the world, and this is a great example .

This hospital charges $5 every time a woman screams, so it will stop false alarms in the hospital. (I wonder what they charge for whimpers)

They also will hit you up for $50 to actually deliver the baby.  Not a big deal, unless you only make $150 A YEAR, which is the average income there.

Horrible trying to gouge someone for money when they're in pain like that!

Thank God we're not like that in this country, although I wouldn't stand up and applaud yet   According to another recent report from the New York Times. com  the United States is the most expensive place to have a baby.  It costs almost $10,000, and we have one of the highest death rates in the world.
