Texas Fugitive Captured After DUI In Saratoga Springs, New York
Being on the run from the law can't be easy. You spend every waking moment worried that someone, anyone, is going to turn you in.
More than likely, you'd be incredibly cautious and attempting to stay under the radar. Unless you're one man in Saratoga Springs who seemingly decided to draw as much attention to himself as possible.

A Standard Traffic Stop
On the evening of January 11th, 2026, Saratoga Springs Police pulled a man over on Caroline Street after reports came in of a possible intoxicated driver on the road. When the officers found the car and attempted to approach on foot, the driver fled in the car.
A short chase ensued, but eventually the man was stopped on West Circular Street. Officers noted that he showed signs of intoxication, and booked him for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). This seemed like a standard DWI case, until they took a look at the man's file...
On the Run
The man was 47-year-old Jody Harr, originally from Texas. What brought him all the way up north, you may ask? Well, he was on the run from the law. He was charged with Child Pornography offenses, as well as multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
Instead of facing the music, Harr fled to New York, hoping to avoid the authorities, but he didn't do a good enough job, and will now be charged for all those crimes and a DWI. He is being held in the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office awaiting extradition to Texas.
