New York Police Out In Full Force For Thanksgiving DWI Crackdown

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, police throughout New York State are out in full force to enforce their DWI campaign.

As Thanksgiving approaches, New York State is ramping up efforts to keep roads safe with its annual STOP-DWI campaign. From Wednesday, November 22nd, to Sunday, November 26th, law enforcement across the state will increase patrols and set up sobriety checkpoints to crack down on impaired driving.

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel times of the year, and unfortunately, it’s also one of the most dangerous. With so many people on the roads and holiday celebrations often involving alcohol, the risk of crashes goes way up. That’s why the STOP-DWI program focuses on reminding everyone to think before they drink and drive.
