Schenectady Man Arrested For Waving Fake Gun In Traffic
Driving can be incredibly stressful. Sometimes it can feel like it's everyone's first day on earth, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Luckily, most of us can control our road-rage, but on occasion someone just snaps. That happened with a Schenectady man recently, and he took it out in the stupidest way possible...

Holding a Firearm Behind the Wheel
On Wednesday, March 25th, motorists on the I-90 near Minden were terrorized by a local man. James W. Reinardt of Schenectady was traveling on the interstate, and began pointing a handgun out of his window, pointed directly at other drivers on the road with him.
Obviously, he was immediately stopped and arrested by New York Police. Upon investigation, it was discovered that it wasn't a handgun at all, simply a Byrna SD less than lethal pistol, otherwise known as an imitation gun. In other words: It was a fake.
It Gets Worse
Okay, so the gun is fake, and there was no evidence it was fire. This should be an easy open-and-shut case, right? WRONG.
He was taken to State Police Mayfield for processing, and upon a breathalyzer test he was found to have a 0.25 BAC, well above the legal limit. As such, he was hit with a DWI, and will be expected in court on April 20th.
I just can't understand what runs through people's heads sometimes, but the most important piece of this is that, despite Reinardt's questionable decisions, no one was seriously injured. Regardless, this is tempting fate at a ridiculous level.
