I live in the Town of Halfmoon and I love it. We have so many local restaurants and shops and now a developer is going to make an already popular shopping plaza into something he calls a "walking community".

Trader Joe's in Halfmoon opens today and our household couldn't be happier. We have been shoppers for a long time and love the unique items they have. In honor of the new Trader Joe's opening closer to my house, I compiled a list of 20 items that we love. Maybe we share some of the same favorite items.

It seems as if they have been building the new Trader Joe's in Halfmoon for a very long time. Well, now we have word that Trader Joe's will be opening up before the end of the year. It will be nice to not have to drive down to Wolf Road to get the great items from one of our favorite grocery stores.

There has been a lot of activity for me in Mechanicville in the last few weeks but this one, unfortunately, has nothing to do with me or my family this time. Someone has won nearly thirty-five thousand dollars on a Take 5 New York Lottery ticket at the Stewart's on Vosburgh Road in the Mechanicville-Halfmoon area.

The "Halfmoon Hero" is 5 year old Harrison Keenan and for Harrison, no cape is needed as long as he has his shovel so he can help mom, dad and neighbors by shoveling snow for them.

It is finally official. There will be a second Trader Joe's location in the Capital Region in Halfmoon. We have been speculating that one would be built in Saratoga County and we have now got confirmation that the construction that is going on in the area off of Route 9 behind the Red Robin is in fact a Trader Joe's.

There are so many small businesses struggling to stay afloat because of the pandemic. A Capital Region town is doing its best to make sure that its residents shop local and boost those struggling businesses.

It looks like plans are underway to bring a new grocery store to the Halfmoon Clifton Park area. Although we may not know which one, there's a good chance it could be Trader Joe's.

Fresh on the heels of National Ice Cream, here are the Capital Region's best, according to you.

There will be a new sports complex built in Halfmoon. It is being proposed by many supporters including a local basketball prodigy that plays in the NBA.

Another week, and another new barbecue joint is coming to the Capital Region.

I was sad to hear that a restaurant in Halfmoon that my family and I would go to as a kid closed its doors after nearly fifty years. I know I'm not the only one that is going to miss this family restaurant.
