Washington Park Gears Up For Their “September-ish Splendor” Event
I spend a lot of time in Albany, and one of my favorite places in the city is Washington Park. The first time I went, I figured it would be just like every other city park I'd seen, but I couldn't be more wrong.
It's an ecological haven, and the Washington Park Conservancy is preparing for their annual fundraising event to preserve the natural beauty of the park.

Septemberish Splendor
Every year, the Washington Park Conservancy hosts a fundraiser to finance the Conservancy’s stewardship of the park. The event is effectively a garden party with a wine bar provided by Capital Wine and Spirits, catering provided by BMT Hospitality, and piano music provided by Dan DeKalb.
In addition, the main attraction is a botanical themed silent auction. Lush autumn annuals, perennials, shrubs, bushes and trees, and stunning floral arrangements are all up for grabs.
Info You Need to Know
The event takes place on October 3rd from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lake House in Washington Park. Guests are asked to dress as if they were attending a garden party, but they are adamant that comfort takes precedence.
Tickets are:
- Honorary Committee Tickets (early preview beginning at 6:15pm.)
- $150-$500 per person
- General Admission (Advance)
- $100 ($75 for over age 40)
- General Admission (At Door)

Tickets are non-refundable and not physical. They will simply be placed on a RSVP list at the door
