Schwarzenegger Saga Continues

Former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger is undergoing a lot of self-inflicted stress in his life.  Not only did he announce last week that he and his wife of 25-years, Maria Shriver, were getting seperated, but he also announced this week he fathered another woman's child, 13-years ago.  His latest announcement came yesterday -- he is placing his movie comeback on hold (probably so he can concentrate on his whirlwind he likes to call his personal life). 

The "New York Times" revealed the name of the woman Schwarzenegger once employed as his housekeeper and also had an extra-marital affair with.  Mildred Patricia Baena has been identified as his mistress who beared their son.  Baena was employed by Schwarzenegger and Shriver for over 20-years in their residence in Brentwood, California, ................................................................................ before retiring this past January.  Since the release ....................................................................................... of her name, Baena has gone into hiding.

According to TMZ.com via the Times Union, Schwarzenegger and Baena carried out their affair at the Brentwood mansion after Shriver would leave the house (thank god).  Apparently, also according to TMZ.com, Baena was obsessed with Shriver and would brag about the affair.  She also would wear Shriver's clothing and jewelry around town.  She, apparently, also had the nerve to consult with Schwarzenegger's wife about relationships and pregnancy.  Disgusting!

I don't blame Shriver at all for however she is feeling right now.  25-years of marriage and who knows how many years besides the last 13 her husband was lying to her.  Maybe there were others before Baena -- maybe not, but regardless, she is smart in protecting herself and her children.  Shriver has retained a big name Los Angeles divorce lawyer, according to People magazine.  While she is the Kennedy heiress, she is still seeking to get what she deserves from a divorce settlement.

I'm not going to even begin to say marriage is easy -- whole different topic.  However, this guy should have had enough respect to take it out of his family's home.  Come on -- was she that attractive you couldn't go somewhere else rather than you and your wife's bed?  Someone once said to me that if your relationship is so bad that you've resorted to cheating, make sure it's worth it on a rating scale of metals.  For example, if you have always held your significant other to the standard of say, gold, you sure as hell better make sure you're straying in search of platinum.  In my opinion, Arnold went from platinum to aluminum!  Just look at the pictures!

Here's the question though: should the media have stalked out Schwarzenegger's mistress and blabbed the woman's name?  Did it really matter who she was?  It's not like he was trying to hide it anymore.  The Washington Post published an interesting article wondering if the woman's name was unjustly released and questioned whether her name should have been leaked.
