Saratoga Race Course Looking To Take 4th of July Celebration to New Heights
Saratoga Race Course is gearing up for an unforgettable Fourth of July celebration in 2025, bringing even more excitement to the historic track.
With Belmont Park undergoing major renovations, the New York Racing Association (NYRA) is moving its holiday weekend racing to Saratoga for the first time. That means more races, energy, and brand-new entertainment for fans. But they are looking to upgrade the experience.
One of the standout attractions being considered? A Ferris wheel towering over the track. According to the Times Union, NYRA has put out a call for bids to bring in the ride, which would be delivered, installed, and operated during the four-day festival. If all goes according to plan, spectators could get a whole new perspective on the action.
“NYRA is exploring a variety of entertainment options and special events to complement the world-class racing during the July 4th Festival,” said spokesman Patrick McKenna. The Ferris wheel is just one of many ideas being floated to make this holiday weekend at Saratoga even more memorable.
With this addition to the schedule, Saratoga Race Course is set for a historic summer, hosting races June 4th-June 8th, July 3rd-July 6th, and then launching its usual 40-day summer meet on July 10th, running through September 1st. Whether you're there for the horses, the festivities, or just a little extra fun, the Saratoga Race Course experience is getting better.
