
More Snow Falling In Albany & Upstate New York Tonight!
An active week of winter weather will wrap up with more snow for Albany and Upstate New York tonight (February 2nd).

Love or hate it, winter has made its presence known in Albany and Upstate New York this week.
And guess what? For Groundhog Day today, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning according to the New York Post, predicting 6 more weeks of winter. Appropriately, we have more snow coming our way tonight to kick off the 2nd half of winter.

National Weather Service Issues Winter Weather Alerts
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Eastern New York and southern Vermont, including the Capital Region.
A fast-moving storm is expected to arrive in the area this evening, bringing 1 to 4 inches of fresh snow, with the heaviest amounts falling between Midnight and 2 a.m. Mist and freezing drizzle could also lead to slippery conditions in the southern Adirondacks and southern Greens.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for central New York and areas west from this afternoon through early Monday morning. Mixed precipitation, including 1 to 4 inches of snow and a light glaze of ice, is expected in these areas.
In the Albany area later this week, the NWS is also calling for more winter weather Wednesday night into Thursday with a wintry mix of snow, rain, and freezing rain.
