This is awesome and I appreciate that the city of Albany is encouraging young entrepreneurs to sell their own stuff, learn some business skills and keep their own cash at Albany's weekly Washington Park Farmers Market.

I had a chance to check out the first farmers market held in Albany's Washington Park last Saturday and it's a great thing for our city.   While there is certainly room to grow, it was nice to see a lot of people out buying fresh fruits and vegetables while supporting local farmers.

The Washington Park Farmers Market is asking young entrepreneur children (it's unclear how young they can be) tp sell their own stuff like paintings, painted rocks, jewelry, lemonade, or crafts, at the market, free of charge while keeping all their profits.

The Washington Park Farmers Market will continue every Saturday through the end of September and any interested parties may email WPFMAlbany@gmail.com.
