It’s So Hot That US Airways Had To Cancel Flights In Phoenix
I've never heard of this before, have you? An airline canceling flights because it's too hot? Well, it happened!
According to CNN.com, it was 119 degrees in Phoenix, 111 degrees in Lancaster, California, and 115 degrees in Las Vegas (losing your shirt takes on a totally different meaning there this week! )
Did you know that a plane can't take off if the temperature hits 118 degrees or higher? Sorry, Phoenix! Your US Airways flights were cancelled on Saturday.
More evidence of global warming? Gee, do ya think? How can you NOT wonder about it this year with all of these extreme storms and weird temperature shifts? What do you think? Would love to know! (I wonder what the people stuck in the US Air terminal think?)
