You may see a little relief in your heating fuel costs this winter.

If you are anything like me and my family, you do all you can to run the heat as little as possible each winter to save money. Most winters it never works out because you end up just running it anyway, but this winter you may actually save a few bucks.

According to a Times Union report, the Public Service Commission is expecting heating fuel costs to be lower than they were last winter. For example, the report says gas prices should average out to around $757 this year, while last year's average was $831. The price reduction is due to a robust supply of natural gas.

So maybe this year you can save a few bucks while keeping your house at a comfortably warm temperature.. Or go all out with the layers and the blankets and maybe you can actually save a whole bunch of money this winter!
