Free Kid’s Kayak Lessons

If you have always wanted your kids to learn how to kayak, there is a free program being offered through the state. In an effort to get kids to get out and enjoy the thousands of miles of waterways in New York state, the state is offering free kayaking lessons. According to News 10 ABC, there will be two lessons offered on September 22nd. Everything will be provided on site including the kayaks and the life vests.

The special program will be held at the Schoharie Crossing boat launch off State Route 5S. The first session will last two hours and begin at 9am. The second two hour session will begin at noon.
