Finally! Upscale Steakhouse Breaks Ground in Colonie
It was announced back in April that a high-end steak house would be coming to the Capital Region. It is the first of its kind in the area. But then nothing else was known. Now there are signs that they are beginning construction.
Where is the New Upscale Steak House?
The former Romano's Macaroni Grill on Wolf Road in Colonie will be the new location of an upscale steak house. It will add yet another restaurant to Wolf Road.
What High-Quality Steakhouse is Coming to Colonie?
Ruth's Chris Steak House was started in 1965 by Ruth Fertel who bought a restaurant called Chris Steak House. She was forced to change the name after a fire at the original restaurant so it became Ruth's Chris Steak House. The steakhouse is known for the best cuts of prime beef with a pat of butter on top.
Signs of Demolition at old Macaroni Grill
If you drive by Roman's Macaroni Grill on Wolf Road you will notice large bright green dumpsters located all over the property. This is a sure sign that renovations have begun.
There May Not Be Interior Renovations Done For a While
According to the Times Union, Ruth's Chris Steak House filed for a building permit back in September but there were some safety items that had to be approved. The issues that still needed to be addressed were mostly fire safety. They included sprinkler drawings, fire alarm and smoke detector drawings, and others.
Where Are Other Ruth's Chris Locations?
There are one hundred fifty locations around the world but the closest one to the Capital Region is in Tarrytown (Westchester County) and in Newington, Connecticut.
