Druthers Brewing Company announced that it will be running a popular Saratoga Lake restaurant and taking over operations for the next ten years. This announcement comes just a couple of months after Druthers opened its fifth location in Clifton Park.

What Popular Saratoga Lake Restaurant is Druthers Taking Over?

Druthers will be the new operator of 550 Waterfront Restaurant. The popular Saratoga Lake restaurant opened in 2020 fully remodeled after a fire closed the original Lake Local Restaurant in 2018.

Will 550 Waterfront Become a Brewpub too?

The short answer is no. The new restaurant will be known as 550 Waterfront by Druthers. It will not be a brewpub but will feature Druthers' brews. The goal is to feature both because each has its own reputation and brand according to the Times Union.

Chris Martell who is Druthers' CEO said,

They (550 Waterfront) already have a great brand and reputation. We want to enhance that, not take away from it.

What Will the new 550 Waterfront by Druthers Become?

They emphasize that the menu will be very different from the Druthers locations. They believe that eighty percent of the Druthers menus will be different than 550 Waterfront by Druthers. The menu will mostly remain similar or the same. 550 Waterfront has a very good cocktail menu which will remain the same along with American beers and a selection of Druthers' brews as well made on-premises.
