The Colonie 12U All-Stars have mashed their way through 16 games (all wins) since tournament play began over a month ago. During the impressive run, this group has beaten their opponents by a total of 173-28, outscoring the other teams by an an eye-popping 145 runs.

Yes, you read that right.  Their average score per 6-inning contest is nearly 11-2.  But enough about the gawdy numbers, we know this team is really, really good.

The number that matters now is the number 2; that's how many more wins they'll need before this special gourp of boys can play for a chance to be crowned National Champions at the LL World Series in Williamsport, PA.

The 12U All-Stars from Colonie will be heading to Mid-Atlantic Regions in Bristol, CT this weekend but before they go, they'll be given an All-Star sendoff at their home field of Cook Park in Colonie on Friday night at 7:30PM.

The invite to send this team off was announced on the Colonie Little League Facebook page:

"Come on down to Cook Park this Friday at 7:30 on the Majors Field as we celebrate the success of our 12 year old All Star team as they head to Bristol to represent New York State in the Mid Atlantic Regional Tournament! Following the Friday celebration at Cook Park, the players and coaches will make their way to Bristol, CT for the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.  
In the Regionals, the competition will be much tougher for Colonie who will have to navigate their way through 5 other teams, also state champions, and also with very impressive resumes.

All-Star teams from Delaware, New Jersey, Washington DC, Maryland, and Pennsylvania will join Colonie during the double-elimination tournament which starts on Sunday, August 8th.

The first game for the Colonie boys will be Monday, August 9th at 4 pm versus the winner of Pennsylvania vs. Washington DC.

The games will be televised on ESPN +.

If Colonie is able to advance to the Championship Game, that game will be televised to a national audeince on ESPN.
