Have You Tasted New York's Best Burger?

Each year, the New York Beef Council holds its annual "Best Burger in New York State" contest and while it's quite an honor to be recognized, it can be a real game-changer for the restaurant that wins.

"Whether you’re a restaurant owner ready to showcase your best burger or a consumer eager to cast your vote for this year’s winner, learn how to get involved in this milestone celebration below." NY Beef Council

Burger bragging rights and notoriety are on the line here and with so many delicious hand-crafted burgers made with love throughout New York, it seems nearly impossible to crown a winner.

But the process is underway!

Nominate Your Favorite Burger

According to the National Beef Council website, nominations will be accepted until March 1st, 2024. Click here to submit your nomination.

Once this period ends, the Beef Council will select the 30 burgers that garnered the most nominations.
Voting will commence on March 6th, 2024 until April 1st, 2024.
The ten restaurants with the most votes following the nomination period will be announced as the "Top Ten" on April 3rd, 2024.
Finalists will receive a certificate and be eligible for the secret taste test by contest judges.
The 2024 Best NY Burger will be announced on May 1, 2024, helping to kick off May Beef Month in New York State.

Two Area Burgers were Finalists Last Year

Last year, two burgers from the Capital Region became top 10 contest finalists, but due to a voting glitch, they didn't have much of a chance to crack the top 5, let alone win the competition. This year, the Beef Council hopes to rectify the situation.

The area burgers that were top 10 finalists "Trowbridge Burger" made at the Chatham Brewery, and the "Bougee Burger" made at Illusive Restaurant and Bar in Rensellaer.

Ground beef patty, bun, toppings, and condiments. Sounds simple, right? Far from it! A perfect burger is an art form and just like a great painting, each brush stroke of ingredients is essential to the final product. The chef is the artist, and there are the best restaurants in the Capital Region for a burger masterpiece.

The 9 Best Fried Chicken Sandwiches in the Capital Region, Ranked!

Ever since Chic-Fil-A added two more restaurants in the Capital Region, there's been a lot of "clucking" in our area about who has the "best-tasting" chicken sandwich.

We decided to post the question on our various social media platforms, and the results were pretty interesting.

For the purpose of our survey, we didn't care if it was made at a local mom-and-pop style pub, tavern, or restaurant or if it was made by a multi-billion dollar national chain.

If Capital Region residents knew of a place that builds a delicious, golden-fried chicken sandwich, we wanted to hear about it.
